Coach Katie Hensle
Coach Katie Hensle serves as the Director of our club and the 17U Head Coach for Team Southwest Select 3SSB. With over 20 years of exceptional coaching experience, Katie has made a profound impact in grassroots, high school, and collegiate basketball. Her dedication to player development and her impressive track record of success make her a leading figure in the basketball community.
Katie began her grassroots coaching career in 2001 by founding North Texas Airborne, a club that quickly earned its way to AAU Nationals. This program marked the start of her journey in developing players for success, providing young athletes with opportunities to grow and ultimately reach their goal of playing Division I basketball.
Since then, Coach Katie has been a transformative force in grassroots basketball. Her achievements include winning Nike Nationals with Cy Fair EYBL and a runner-up finish at Adidas Nationals with Team Lex 3SSB. Over two decades, she has coached some of the nation’s most elite players, including 18 McDonald’s All-Americans, multiple Team USA members—one of whom is an Olympic gold medalist—and four athletes who advanced to the WNBA.
During her 13-year high school coaching career, Coach Katie led programs at John Paul II in Plano, TX, and Westlake High School in Austin, TX, to remarkable achievements. Her teams amassed over 300 wins, secured multiple district championships, and made deep playoff runs, including two state final four appearances and three regional finals.
At the collegiate level, Coach Katie served as an assistant coach at Texas Tech University, where she specialized in developing point guards. Her expertise contributed to the team’s NCAA tournament success, further solidifying her ability to prepare athletes for the highest levels of competition.
Today, Coach Katie continues to shape the basketball landscape as a McDonald’s All-American Voter, Naismith Voter, and a contributor to Premier Basketball. Her unparalleled experience, success at every level of the game, and unwavering commitment to developing talent make her an invaluable resource for aspiring basketball players looking to reach their full potential.




Coach Jeremy Clark
Coach Jeremy Clark is the 16U coach forSouthwest Select 3SSB, the Grassroots Director for Southwest Future, and the Director of our team in Austin. He brings nearly a decade of coaching and training experience to our program, paired with a collegiate playing background. As a cornerstone of our grassroots efforts, Coach Jeremy has been instrumental in shaping the culture of girls’ basketball in the Austin, TX area, all while balancing his commitments as a husband and father of two daughters.
In addition to overseeing the club’s grassroots initiatives, Coach Jeremy evaluates players for prominent scouting services in Texas. His expertise in identifying talent not only strengthens our program but also contributes to the broader basketball community across the state. This dual role keeps him connected to the pulse of Texas basketball, ensuring that our players receive top-tier guidance and access to the best opportunities available. Coach Jeremy also helps to run Theory Basketball (a player development platform based in Austin, Tx.)
Throughout his career, Coach Jeremy has coached and trained athletes at all levels, from high school standouts to collegiate competitors. His passion for the women’s game is unmatched, and his meticulous attention to detail ensures that each player’s skills are nurtured and developed. With a focus on personal and athletic growth, Coach Jeremy is committed to helping every athlete reach their full potential—both on and off the court.
Coach Mike Aduddell
Coach Mike Aduddell is the head coach for the Southwest Select 15U 3SSB team, associate head coach for the 17U 3SSB team, and the lead player development coach across all three programs. With over a decade of experience, Mike has gained recognition as one of the top player development coaches in the world, blending technical expertise and a personalized approach to help athletes unlock their full potential.
Drawing from his background as a collegiate player, Adidas 3SSB coach, private pro-trainer, and Olympic coach, Mike specializes in helping players refine their individual skillsets while enhancing their understanding of team dynamics. His ability to elevate athletes at all levels has made him a sought-after figure in the basketball community.
Mike recently returned to the U.S. after a three-year tenure as an assistant coach and Director of Player Development for the China Women’s Senior National Team. Handpicked by Yao Ming, President of the Chinese Basketball Federation, Mike was instrumental in guiding Team China to a silver medal at the 2022 FIBA World Cup, gold medals at the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup and Asian Games, and qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Domestically, Mike previously served as the Director of Player Development for Team Lex, before joining Southwest Select, contributing to a national championship win and a runner-up finish. He also spent six years as the Director and Lead Trainer of Attack Basketball Academy in Dallas, where he oversaw the development of hundreds of players, earning a reputation as a premier player development specialist. In addition to his work with Southwest Select, Mike also helps to run Theory Basketball (a player development platform based in Austin, Tx.)
Mike’s impact extends to the WNBA, Division I athletes, and grassroots players of all ages. His dedication to fostering growth through advanced training, technical knowledge, and meaningful relationships has made him a transformative figure in the sport. Whether developing elite talent or guiding emerging players, Mike’s passion for basketball is evident in every athlete and team he works with.
